Sean Deveney says the D-League will become a bargaining chip

Andy and Mike talked with Sporting News NBA Writer Sean Deveney this morning. Sean previewed the opening round of the NBA Playoffs and also says that there may be a new solution to the age debate for when a player is allowed to enter the NBA.

Sean Deveney: "They're gonna have to find a way to have players who want to come in and make a living right away. Who don't want to go to Europe or someplace else... And what's going to happen from what I've been told, is that the D-League will be sort of the bargaining chip and they're going to expand D-League salaries, which are terrible. I mean you make a max of about $24,000, $25,000 a year and that's pretty tough amount to raise a family on... They're going to make it more of a European style, pay-scale where you could have guys making $150,000, $250,000, $300,000... Which all of a sudden makes it a little more palatable."
